The Colosseum
Got an early start to the day to reach The Colosseum in time for my tour. All of my tours are scheduled early so I can take clients in the afternoon. I reached the point to meet the tour guide and was told I had to wait another hour. Some of these tours are punctual, others not so much. You just gotta go with the flow. While waiting, I enjoyed another brioche, this time with marmalade. I sipped on some black tea and watched the scene below unfold. After this photo was taken a little girl started chasing the cat and the soldiers couldn’t help but smile.
I’ll admit this wasn’t my favorite tour. Not because the Colosseum isn’t awesome, but because my tour guide was mediocre and there were so many tourists! I guess everyone is in a rush to get out and see the world after the pandemic. It was difficult to maneuver through the crowd and after ten minutes of scanning the inside of the stadium I was ready to go.
After taking as much of it in as I could I got out of there. Too many people and not enough lions, tigers or bears! After getting away from the crowd I was able to enjoy the view from afar.
