Untapped Potential

Meanwhile at Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice… It’s difficult to believe humans have the ability and talent to form such beautiful things from a mere rock. Should I get into sculpting? Maybe it’s an “untapped” skill. This is one of Antonio Canova’s Lions- 1757 Also pictured is Canaletto’s “Capriccio with Classical Ruins and Buildings” - 1750s. Canaletto’s works were originally used for the tourism industry but today stand out as Venetian master pieces. Go to the National Gallery of Art in DC to see what I mean.
